pdvWireless Vice Chairman, Morgan O'Brien, to receive Armstrong Medal

WOODLAND PARK, N.J., Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- pdvWireless, Inc., (the "Company") (NASDAQ: PDVW), a wireless communications carrier and provider of mobile workforce management solutions, today announced that Vice Chairman, Morgan O'Brien, will receive the Armstrong Medal for outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to the radio arts and sciences and wireless communications. First awarded in 1935, the Armstrong Medal is the Radio Club of America's highest honor and will be presented during its 107th Awards Banquet on November 18th, 2016 in New York City.

As the co-founder and chairman of Nextel Communications, Inc., Mr. O'Brien led the creation of the first all-digital nationwide wireless network (the Nextel National Network) and brought push-to-talk communication to the mass business and consumer market. After the merger of Nextel with Sprint, he was a co-founder of Cyren Call Communications where he served until January 2009. Mr. O'Brien has served as a member of the pdvWireless, Inc. board of directors since April 2012.
