Anterix’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, Alice Moy-Gonzalez, has collaborated with Elin Swanson Katz, the Vice President of Utilities at Tilson, to write an article for NARUC’s bulletin. This article is based on some of the major points highlighted in their upcoming playbook, as identified in interviews with utilities, regulators, consumer advocates, and ISPs.

The forthcoming playbook will identify key opportunities and challenges implicated in pursuing a “leveraging” strategy. It will describe the common wired and wireless network infrastructure that IOUs may leverage for grid modernization and broadband deployment some models’ utilities can use to facilitate consumer broadband deployment without compromising the security and reliability of the electric grid, and the challenges and benefits associated with such projects.
