Anterix contributed a session paper, by Jim Li, to the 2019 CIGRE US National Committee Grid of the Future Symposium. With the continued growth of both the numbers of integrated distributed energy resources (DERs) and the number of attractive utility applications involving grid-edge control of devices of local aggregators, such as home energy management systems, the need for practical and cost-effective communications solutions to enable the control of DERs and other grid edge-devices is evident.
