Driver Communications – Putting Things in Perspective

With driver distraction concerns, driver communication has become more challenging. As reported in STN, a 2014 school bus crash in Tennessee was linked to bus driver texting. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics, texting increases the likelihood of a crash by a factor of 23. Not 23 percent. These drivers are 23 times more likely to be involved in a safety-critical event.
